1 in 5 students who have been in a serious relationship report being hit, slapped or pushed by a boyfriend or girlfriend. Many of the worst incidents of dating violence occur at school.
Willow’s Educators focus on Healthy Relationships and a culture of respect in fun and engaging presentations on a serious topic. Educators stay after the presentation to provide immediate counseling and support to any students.
Schools wanting a longer term engagement participate in Willow Center’s Expect Respect® Program. Expect Respect® engages youth, parents, schools and communities in building healthy teen relationships and preventing dating abuse.

Understanding the dynamics of power and control, safe practices and Willow Educators are on college campuses throughout Monroe County meeting with students and staff.
Willow Center provides evidence-informed, interactive curriculum with a focus on how to recognize, respond and refer when there is dating and domestic violence on campus.
For college students Willow trainings include dating violence dynamics, how to help a friend, understanding stalking and technology abuse.
College personnel trainings are for professionals who interact with students including Resident Advisors, campus safety, faculty and counseling staff.
